"Twenty-four years and still sealing".

Link-Seal® modular seals were installed in 1979 by the Limbach Company, a prime contractor, on the original Ypsilanti Wastewater Treatment Plant. Per Michael Jessee, the plant maintenance superintendent, there are over a 100 pipe sealing applications through 36" diameter pipe without any noticeable leaks in the 18 years he has been at the plant. "We have a lot of pride in our operation, maintenance and appearance. The plant has been a showcase for Link-Seal seals".

Link-Seal distributors from as far as France and Germany have visited the plant to see how Link-Seal® modular seals are used in the wastewater industry.

For the Ypsilanti Wastewater Plant's 2002, one hundred million dollar plant expansion, the consultant Engineer Tetra Tech MPS of Ann Arbor, Michigan, has specified Link-Seal&rerg; modular seals as a prime wall penetration sealer. Marty Schlitt, Project Manager for the John E. Green Company, the awarded mechanical contractor, and 30-year plus user of Link-Seal® products, said "there would be over 100 sealing applications through 48" pipe with multiple cored holes, Cell-Cast® applications and he prefers the Century-Line® sleeves for the cast in-place applications". The Century-Line® sleeves (HDPE) will eliminate rust stains on the walls resulting from moisture condensing and dripping from the original installed steel sleeves.

Link-Seal® modular seals have an excellent history in the wastewater industry and with the addition of the Century-Line® sleeves, Cell-Cast® disks and added link sizes; it has only made a proven product better.

The 2002 upgrade included non-metallic Century-Line Sleeves. Now the plant will not have to contend with rust stains on the walls resulting from the condensation of moisture on the installed steel sleeves in 1979.
