Remedial Waterproofing Work Successfully Completed with Wolfin Membrane in Lorne, Victoria

lorneThe Wolfin Waterproofing System resolved an on-going waterproofing problem at luxury residential units located on the Great Ocean Road in Lorne, Victoria. The residential building apartment has been leaking ever since the construction was completed due to poor waterproofing detailing & installation.

The Terraces & balconies of the Penthouse units form the roof of the units below & any leakage results in water ingress inside habitable rooms.

Wolfin GWSK Membrane was chosen to rectify these problems due to its impeccable track record & success in similar rectification works. The Wolfin GWSK is bonded to the deck to eliminate water tracking in the event of accidental puncture.

Due to its close proximity to the ocean, the Wolfin membrane was terminated using 316L Stainless Steel Profiles. Galvanised Wolfinsteel angles are used in non-corrosive environments.

The waterproofing membrane installation was co-ordinated over a few weeks as doors & windows had to be removed at different stages to minimise exposure to the elements (rain, storms, etc).

Flex-a-Seal, a trained and licensed Wolfin applicator, successfully completed this remedial waterproofing project. Installed in similar jobs for over 25 years, the Wolfin System has been used to rectify failed membranes & has a proven track history in this kind of aggressive environment.

Projex Group offers a single point warranty on both labour and material for the Wolfin System, and commit to it! “With Projex, the customer will never experience the common scenario where the membrane supplier will fight over the responsibilities of the warranty with his applicator”, mentioned Nick Pearson, National Sales Manager, Projex Group.

Wolfin has carried out many successful projects in rectifying failed membranes. It has also been used extensively in new projects to get the waterproofing right the first time, so as to avoid these costly repairs and inconveniences caused by failed membranes or poor waterproofing installations.
